Change the Conversation, Change the World
Can we make a deal?
A promise to change the conversation we’re having with ourselves, our friends, our families, our daughters, our practitioners?
For so long we’ve been taught about our bodies and about our own health from a patriarchal perspective. It’s likely you hold beliefs about and see yourself through the lens of patriarchy.
What does this lens look like?
Having symptoms or experiences downplayed by conventional medical practitioners
Believing that your true and natural wellness exists outside of yourself
Seeking answers and validation outside of yourself
Believing that if you just do more you’ll experience greater success (success as defined by patriarchy btw)
Ignoring symptoms or expereinces that are begging for your attention
Under, over, or unnecessarily medicating due to misunderstanding
Blame and shame - you are the reason you’re suffering
The most damaging symptom of our patriarchal society is the denial of a woman’s inner knowing and a dismissal of your own self-trust. Self-trust is one of the fundamental keys to owning your own life - being the leader and making the choice to show up as the powerful and empowered woman I know you are and can be.
So let’s approach the conversation differently. Let’s own our inner knowing and intuition. You do know. You are powerful. You have everything you need within you.
This is a big conversation, to be sure, and one that is being brought up in many spaces - not just health and wellness, female empowerment and embodiment.
The work can feel daunting and overwhelming. But we don’t have to do it alone.
