Self-Compassion, Because You're Worth It ❤️

You deserve it.

Read that again. You deserve time to yourself, time to recharge, to enjoy, to experience what lights you up.

We’re pretty good at showing up for external obligations but what about our obligation to enjoy life? To care for ourselves in a way that brings us joy, light, and soul-stirring satisfaction?

Nourish your relationship to yourself -

❤️Date Yourself. Once a week, take yourself out (or stay in) on a date. A class to learn a new skill or try out a potential hobby? Splurge on that fancy latte that’s reserved for special occasions that pairs nicely with a book, journaling, or people watching? A quiet evening spent nurturing your inner artist with a new sketchpad and pencils?

❤️Cultivate self-compassion. Compassion is often easier to show to those around us than it is to apply to ourselves. But holding compassion hostage from ourselves has a damaging effect on our long term mental health. When you think you’re not doing enough, give yourself the loving pep-talk you’d give a friend.

❤️Affirm your way to a centered heart. Starting the day with intention through an affirmation can set your mind on a path of openness and love. As you carry it throughout the day, be ready to feel more empowered and uplifted!

❤️Assess your consumption. What information, influences, and vibes are you allowing into your life and mind? Periodically check in with how your social feeds, news consumption, and friend circles are contributing to your well-being. And then unplug. Allow yourself some total alone time once a week to reconnect to your truth and foster inner peace.

With love for all,
Emma
